On December 27, 2020, the President signed the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA). Richland Community College received $682,755 in CRRSAA funds to disburse to students and $2,623,763 in institutional funds from the Department of Education.
Unlike the CARES Act, CRRSAA requires Richland Community College to prioritize students with exceptional need. Students that received Title IV aid in the Spring 2021 semester were determined to be eligible for CRRSAA funds. Funds were awarded based on the student EFC from the 2020-2021 FAFSA and credit hours enrolled at the time of disbursement.
On March 23, 2021, Richland disbursed $406,862 to 1,276 students.
