What is the Pre-Apprenticeship Program?
Illinois Works’ free Pre-Apprenticeship Program will prepare you to transition into a Department of Labor registered apprenticeship in the trades. This program will begin in mid-April 2023.
The training covers positions in multiple trades, including:
- Carpenters
- Electricians
- Sheet Metal Worker
- Plumbers & Steamfitters
- Laborers
- Bricklayers
- Glaziers
- Roofers
- Operators
Applications for this program are not open at the moment. The next cohort will be in July 2024.
