Richland Student Farms

Welcome to Richland Student Farms!
Students get their hands dirty at the Student Farm, an outdoor classroom for research, demonstration and crop production.
Here, students learn agribusiness and entrepreneurial skills through small farm production in the greenhouse and managing an array of plant sales and farmers markets.

What We Do
Farmers Markets
Every year, Richland Community College hosts Farmers Markets throughout the summer – where community members can purchase baked goods, soaps, plants, fresh produce and more from local vendors.
NEW THIS YEAR – The Summer Farmers Markets will be monthly from 3 PM – 7 PM on:
- Wednesday, September 16
Special Markets
Students also gain more entrepreneurial experiences by putting together the annual special markets like the Spring Market (May), Fall Market (October), and Holiday Market (December).
Plant Sale
During the spring semester, students work in the greenhouse to cultivate plants for the Plant Sale in May – which is held alongside the Spring Market.
