Richland Student Farms

Welcome to Richland Student Farms!

Students get their hands dirty at the Student Farm, an outdoor classroom for research, demonstration and crop production.

Here, students learn agribusiness and entrepreneurial skills through small farm production in the greenhouse and managing an array of plant sales and farmers markets.

2026 Summer Farmers Market

NEW THIS YEAR – The Richland Farmers Market will be monthly on Wednesdays. You can shop with local vendors at the Michael D Andreas Agriculture Building between 3 PM – 7 PM on these dates:

  • Wednesday, June 17
  • Wednesday, July 15
  • Wednesday, August 19
  • Wednesday, September 16

What We Do

Farmers Markets

Every year, Richland Community College hosts Farmers Markets throughout the summer – where community members can purchase baked goods, soaps, plants, fresh produce and more from local vendors.

Special Markets

Students also gain more entrepreneurial experiences by putting together the annual special markets like the Spring Market (May), Fall Market (October), and Holiday Market (December).

Plant Sale

During the spring semester, students work in the greenhouse to cultivate plants for the Plant Sale in May – which is held alongside the Spring Market.
