Wellness Services
Your success here at Richland is our highest priority and we want you to know that it’s okay to reach out for some help in order to succeed. That’s why we have developed a wide variety of services that will help you when you need it.
Types of Services Available

The Food Pantry at Richland
If you are experiencing food insecurity, you can visit the Food Pantry at Richland on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 11am to 2pm and Wednesdays from 4pm to 6pm. Please use the Food Pantry entrance located in Parking Lot C. The Pantry at Richland Community College is an extension of Northeast Community Fund. The Pantry Questionnaire can be found in myRichland>My Student Info>Scholarships (RCC Foundation).

Student Assistance Fund
If you are facing unexpected situations that will impact your ability to be successful at Richland, the Foundation has established the Student Assistance Fund to provide emergency financial assistance to Richland students. The Student Assistance Fund was established in 2017 and provides financial assistance to Richland students as unexpected situations arise, including medical bills, utility bills, rent, childcare, transportation, technology, etc.
The Student Assistance Fund application is temporarily closed. If a student is experiencing an emergency financial situation, they may reach out via email to studentassistance@richland.edu.

Mental Health Services
Richland Community College has partnered with two organizations to provide both in-person and teletherapy mental health resources. Memorial Behavioral Health delivers in-person and/or telehealth counseling with a licensed professional, Joe Drew, MA, LPC. Students receive these services for free.
For teletherapy, Richland partners with TimelyCare – a mobile app (which can also be accessed by desktop) that provides 24/7 access to virtual care from anywhere in the United States at no cost.

Free Tutoring
The Academic Success Center offers FREE tutoring services for students in the areas of Math, Biology/Chemistry, Business/Accounting, English, and other subjects by request. Get assistance with your writing assignments, improve your study skills or just stop by for computer access. We also use NetTutor, an online tutoring service integrated into Canvas that provides you the support you need, whenever you need it, for lots of different subjects, and on any type of device.

Accommodations
We want to provide a welcoming campus that supports success for all students. Approved accommodations for students with documented disabilities remove barriers to allow for equal opportunity to participate fully in the total college experience.

Library Resources
Our library staff can help you with your inquiries about the resources you need to complete your assignments. It’s also a great place to find computer access or a quiet place to study.

Bookstore
You will find your textbooks and course materials here, but did you know that you can also find items like pens, pencils, USB drives, calculators, and much more? The friendly staff in the bookstore can help you find what you need and you can look good doing it when you purchase the great Richland gear sold here.

Fitness Center
Currently enrolled students receive membership to the Fitness Center as part of their tuition.
