Tallgrass Tech Expands to Richland Community College: $75,000 Donation to Richland Foundation Establishes Multiyear Scholarship Program

Decatur, IL – Tallgrass, a national energy infrastructure company, is donating $75,000 to the Richland Community College Foundation to create a scholarship for Engineering Technology students.

The gift will expand the company’s Tallgrass Tech program to fund scholarships over the next five years in Richland Community College’s Applied Science & Technology Division, which prepares students for in-demand careers across a wide range of industries, from skilled trades and advanced technologies to business, agriculture, and engineering.

Richland Community College’s Engineering Technology programs provide hands-on learning, state-of-the-art facilities, and expert instruction to equip students with the practical skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s workforce.

How to Apply

To be eligible, students must be in good standing with the college and may be enrolled full- or part-time. They must also specialize in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Systems.
