Nominating petitions for persons seeking election to the Richland Community College Board of Trustees are available by appointment or electronically beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

The petitions may be obtained by appointment or electronically in the Office of the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Room N155, at Richland Community College, One College Park, Decatur, Illinois 62521 by contacting Madonna Brown at madonnab@richland.edu.

The nominating papers may be filed with the Secretary of the Board of Trustees from Monday, December 14, 2020, through Monday, December 21, 2020, electronically or by appointment. A Statement of Economic Interest must be filed with the Macon County Clerk’s Office. The receipt provided by the clerk must be filed with the Secretary of the Board no later than Monday, December 14, 2020, by the 4:30 p.m. closing time.

To be eligible to seek election to the Board of Trustees, one must, on the day of his/her election, be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or older, and a resident of the State of Illinois and the Community College District for at least one year immediately preceding his/her election.

The positions on the Board of Trustees which will appear on the ballot in this election are three full six-year terms for seats currently held by Vicki Carr, Randy Prince, and Tom Ritter.

The election will be conducted Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
