Notice of Proposed Property Tax Increase for Richland Community College District No. 537 counties of Christian, DeWitt, Logan, Macon, Moultrie, Piatt, Sangamon, and Shelby.
I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for Community College District No. 537 for 2025 will be held on December 16, 2025, at 5:15 p.m., at Richland Community College in the Board Room.

II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated in 2024 were $13,666,941.
The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $14,804,342. This represents an 8.322% increase over the previous year.
III. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2024 were $3,260,020.
The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2025 are $3,298,120. This represents a 1.17% increase over the previous year.
IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were $16,926,961.
The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $18,102,462. This represents a 6.94% increase over the previous year.
