Megan Bresnan

Megan Bresnan has truly found her “Most Magical Place on Earth”

During her second semester at Richland, Megan Bresnan was given the opportunity of a lifetime to work for the Walt Disney Company as part of the Walt Disney College internship program. She jumped at the chance, but wanted to continue her education at the same time. Luckily, she took advantage of Richland’s online classes, and was able to stay on track to meet her educational and professional goals while working at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge.

“I never thought I would have the opportunity to go away and work for the Walt Disney Company. I took online courses and got to learn all about hospitality management and the hotel industry,” she said.  Her overall experience has been a great mix of real life practices and what she has learned in the classroom. She feels ready to transfer to a university in the future.

As a creative and hard working student, Megan describes herself as pretty involved in the community – she has taken advantage of the robust student engagement provided on campus, serving on the HOPE Club and acting in several theatre productions.

Megan feels the great faculty support and friendly, supportive environment at Richland has helped her succeed and accomplish the goals she set for herself. “I choose Richland because it helped me achieve my goals, enhance my academics, and make my dream come true with an internship with Walt Disney Company. It’s a very supportive and family environment.”
