Child Care Positions

Part-Time Child Care Assistant & Substitute Child Care Assistant

These positions assist pre-school and school age teachers with facilitating developmentally appropriate experiences during the fall, spring, and if necessary, summer semesters. Minimum requirements: Must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants with formal child care training are preferred.

All Child Care employees must be fingerprinted and successfully pass a Criminal Background and Child Abuse and Negligent Background Screening and be certified in CPR as required by the IL Dept. of Children & Family Services and other applicable laws.

Substitute Child Care Teacher

This position serves as a substitute teacher to pre-school and school age children, facilitating developmentally appropriate experiences in the absence of the regular teacher. Minimum requirements: A two-year Child Care and Education degree, or must have obtained 30 credits, including 6 credit hours in Child Development courses and have one year experience in a licensed childcare facility.

All Child Care employees must be fingerprinted and successfully pass a Criminal Background and Child Abuse and Negligent Background Screening and be certified in CPR as required by the IL Dept. of Children & Family Services and other applicable laws.
