Dean - Business & Technology
Richland Community College seeks a dynamic, visionary and entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record of developing and successfully implementing highly innovative programs. The Dean is responsible for the leadership, innovative vision, and strategic directions for the following programs: Accounting, Automotive Technology, Banking, Business, Culinary Arts Institute, Cross-Cultural Program, Entrepreneurial Education, Hospitality Management, HVAC, Information Technology, Marketing, and Office Technology. The Dean is responsible for curriculum development, implementation, administration, planning and scheduling; faculty recruitment, supervision and development; interaction with industry advisory boards and other external constituencies; and working collaboratively to facilitate student success.
Minimum requirements: Master’s Degree in a discipline within the division and five years of related administrative and supervisory experience at the college level. Community college teaching, strong academic administrative experience in supervising professionals and programs, and business/industry experience preferred. Director of Campus Life
Richland Community College is seeking an energetic outgoing person to serve as Director of Campus Life. The Director will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing strategies designed to enhance the overall educational experience of students through the development of, exposure to, and participation in social, cultural, intellectual, recreational, and governance programs. This person will also facilitate students’ educational, career, personal, and social development and advise all student clubs and organizations. This person must have experience working with diverse groups; strong organizational skills; strong writing and oral communication skills; be self motivated, self-directed, innovative and creative. Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in student personnel or other related field as recommended by the Council of Advancement of Standards in Higher Education. A Master’s degree and at least three years of student-related experience at the community college level preferred. Salary based on qualifications and experience.
Director of Security
This full time position has the responsibility for taking the necessary steps to promote and maintain a safe campus environment for Richland Community College. Responsibilities include assuring the College’s emergency response activities; development and maintenance of plans for all-hazards emergency preparedness, emergency response situations, and environmental safety; training of staff; and assist in evaluating college facilities for safe operations, policies and procedures for safe public access and use of college facilities; and supervise contracted security staff and oversee contract. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a public health and safety related field or risk management and three years experience in a closely associated area of responsibility; or Associate’s degree in an appropriate area with at least five years of experience in a closely associated area. Must be available to work nights and weekends. Salary based on qualifications and experience.
Director of Budgeting
This full-time position will have primary responsibility to develop and monitor the College’s annual budget and Unit Cost Study. Duties include high level reporting and analysis of institutional program costs, oversight of accounts payable, staffing costs, analysis and interpretation of various financial data, reconciling the general ledger, preparing financial statements, investigate and resolve accounting errors, assisting independent auditors, and management of federal and state grants. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of five years of experience in an accounting field. Master’s degree or CPA and two or more years of overall accounting experience, and fund accounting in an institution of higher education is preferred.
