The Employee Appreciation Taskforce invites all Richland Employees (full and part-time) to participate in the 2009 On My Own Time Art Show. On My Own Time is intended to showcase the creative talents of Richland employees and to celebrate the arts. Items created by Richland employees entered in the show will be on display March 20-April 8, 2009 in the Learning Resources Center and LRC display case. Employees will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite item in each category (“Viewer’s Choice”) and for “Best of Show.”
Categories for the show include, but are not limited to, painting, drawing, ceramics, writing, floral, wearable art and accessories, needle arts (cross stitch, embroidery, crewel, appliqué, needlepoint, etc.), coverings (afghans, blankets, quilts), papercrafts (cards, scrapbooks, etc.), and other hand-crafted items. Only items not previously displayed in an On My Own Time show are eligible.
To participate, individuals must complete the registration form. Organizers reserve the right to combine categories for the “Viewer's Choice” awards.
Items should be delivered to the Human Resources Office beginning Monday, March 16 through noon on Friday, March 20. All items should be accompanied by a registration form. Participants will be able to advertise an item for sale. All items should be picked up on Thursday, April 9.
