SURGT101 - Surgical Technology I

Description:SURGT101 presents the basic patient care concepts, asepsis, and the surgical environment. Students are introduced to the fundamentals of surgical procedural techniques. A basic survey of pharmacology and its application in surgery are discussed. This course includes classroom and laboratory instruction with observational clinical experiences in the operating room.

Prerequisite(s):SURGT 100 or approval of the Surgical Technology Director; concurrent enrollment in or completion of BIOL 201 with a "C" or better
