RADT 102 - Radiologic Patient Care

Description:RADT 102 provides the student with the basic concepts of patient care, including consideration for the physical and psychological needs of the patient and family. Routine and emergency patient care is described, as well as infection control procedures utilizing standard precautions. The role of the radiographer in patient education will be identified. This course also includes basic concepts of pharmacology with an emphasis on contrast media. Student's patient care skills are assessed in a laboratory setting.

Prerequisite(s):admission to the Radiography Program and concurrent enrollment in RADT 108
