PHY S105 - Physics of Sound and Light

Description:PHY S105 is a laboratory course designed for non-science or education majors. Students will be introduced to basic concepts of motion, force, energy, waves, sound, and light. In addition, students are introduced to applications of these concepts, including interference, superposition, resonance, musical sound, pitch, timbre, diffraction, resolution, color, lasers, human vision, and corrective devices/procedures.
Credit hours:3-2-4
Prerequisite(s):eligibility for ENGL 101 and successful completion of MATH 091 [with a "C" or better grade] or equivalent competencies
