PHYS 152 - Electricity & Magnetism

Description:PHYS 152 is the second semester of the laboratory courses designed for students who plan to major in the field of engineering, physics, or mathematics. It is a calculus-based study of the physical world, introducing students to such topics as electric charges, electric potential, capacitance and dielectrics, current and resistance, direct current circuits, magnetic fields, magnetic forces, inductance, magnetic properties of matter, electromotive forces, alternating currents, and electromagnetic waves.

Prerequisite(s):PHYS 151 or equivalent competencies and MATH 122 or concurrent enrollment
