PHIL 106 - African-American Churches in America

Description:PHIL 106 will examine the socio-historical origins, theology, and practice of the African Americans' religious experience. The relationship between social issues and religiosity will be explored, along with the political and socio-cultural aspects of churches, their evolution in form and structures, major religious leaders, and the churches' impact on the community and the nation.
