OT 244 - Interpreting Healthcare Records

Description:OT 244 is a lecture course dealing with an introduction to the principles of healthcare documentation. Utilizing patient records, emphasis will be placed on content and format of the health record, significance of electronic health records, HIPAA requirements, and deciphering diagnoses and laboratory values in medical records. This course is recommended for persons interested in allied health professions such as medical coding, transcription, or other medical clerical positions.
