OT 143 - ICD-9 Coding

Description:OT 143 this course will provide an overview of ICD-9 coding. Students will gain an understanding of the organization and format of the ICD-9-CM manual, coding conventions, guidelines, steps in coding, V and E codes, and coding diseases and procedures in each body system. After a review of coding guidelines for each body system, students will code assigned patient scenarios/medical reports using their ICD-9-CM code book.
