MUSIC200 - Computer Aided Music Composition

Description:MUSIC200 uses structured projects in instrumental composition based on studies using specific compositional techniques to establish abilities in counterpoint, harmony, and instrumentation in historical and contemporary idioms, and develop awareness of new ideas and aesthetics. Theory, techniques, and ideas will be applied toward the development of a personal methodology of composition, while establishing a focused pattern of experimentation.

Prerequisite(s):MUSIC 103, completion or concurrent enrollment in MUSIC 104, or consent of instructor
