ENGL 110 - Communicating in the Workplace

Description:ENGL 110 provides instruction and practice in the preparation of reports appropriate for business and industry. Various rhetorical strategies for identifying and reaching particular audiences are presented. Students learn all aspects of preparing reports: choosing a topic, identifying a primary audience, completing various kinds of research, which may include phone or personal interviews, surveys, letters, and questionnaires, organizing materials, writing and documenting the text, revising, designing graphics appropriate to the text, and as needed, creating glossaries and appendices to the text.
