ECE 114 - Play Activities for Young Children

Description:ECE 114 explores basic concepts of structured and unstructured play and suggests methods for encouraging the child's creativity in those areas. An important part of the course concerns appropriate play activities associated with the different levels of mental, physical, and emotional development of the individual child. Also included within the course are selection, construction, and maintenance of the equipment related to these activities. Emphasis is on large motor activities. The laboratory includes observation and designing of outdoor and indoor play areas.
