ECE 113 - Art, Music, & Drama for Young Children

Description:ECE 113 explores basic concepts of art, music, and drama and suggests methods for encouraging the child's participation and creativity in those areas. Included during the course are discussions of the various activities associated with different stages in the mental, physical, and emotional development of the individual child and the use of these art forms to increase the child's social abilities. Emphasis is on small motor activities. Through book reports the student is introduced to various authors and child development theories.
