ECE 101 - Introduction to Early Childhood Education

Description:ECE 101 offers an introduction to the early childhood education and education field with emphasis on the history of early childhood education, the variety of operations, services, facilities, career opportunities, and basic child development principles. The laboratory includes field studies in a variety of early childhood centers. Reading of periodical articles is required to introduce the student to early childhood education and the authors and publications of the profession. Students are required to complete fifteen hours of classroom observation in an educational setting.

Prerequisite(s):eligibility for ENGL 090 and ENGL 097
