Description:CHEM 131 is the first part of a two-semester college-level general chemistry course. Topics include measurement, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, atomic structure, chemical bonding, molecular structure, the three states of matter (gas, solid, liquid), and solutions.

Prerequisite(s):MATH 116 and either (1) one year of high school chemistry with "B" or better grade or (2) CHEM 100 with "B" or better grade
