BIOL 130 - Genetics and Society

Description:BIOL 130 provides an introduction to basic genetic principles and to contemporary issues in biotechnology. This course addresses the ethical, political and social implications of biological advances in the area of genetics including medical and agricultural biotechnology. The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the many aspects of plant and animal genetics and to show how research in genetics affects our lives.
