LEADership Mastery Program

The LEADership Mastery program is Richland Community College’s student leadership program. The program encompasses curricular and co-curricular opportunities and experiences designed to foster leadership that is inclusive of Richland’s core values; Commitment, Respect, Excellence, Accountability and Diversity. Moreover, the LEADership Mastery program helps participants to build community partnerships and to extend beyond the campus in preparing students for socially responsible leadership in their careers, families and communities. Upon completion of the programs requirements, students are awarded the LEADership Mastery program certificate of completion, which is awarded by the Office of Campus Life.

Program Completion Qualifications

To qualify for a Leadership Enrichment Certificate you must complete the following:

  • Completion of Course L Dev 110
  • Attend 1 Leadership Conference with personal reflection essay presented to the Student Senate
  • Completion of 10 community service hours with personal reflection essay
  • Attendance of 4 Leadership workshops sponsored by Campus Life
  • Develop, plan, and implement with the Student Senate 1 program, activity, or event for the students of Richland Community College

LEADership Roundtable Discussions

Roundtable discussions are held monthly and led by the Student Senate. All students are invited to participate. This is a time for students to share thoughts, concerns or acknowledge achievements in an informal setting concerning leadership activities, events or training needs of our student leaders at Richland Community College.

LEADership Mastery Workshop Schedule

Specially designed workshops addressing leadership issues are offered throughout the academic year. Leadership workshops are fashioned to meet the needs of individuals and student clubs/organizations. All workshops are free and open to students.

Richland Student Ambassador Program

The Richland Student Ambassador Program is for students who are dedicated to serving and representing Richland Community College. Student Ambassadors are selected from the Richland Trustee Scholarship recipients. Ambassadors help to host official functions, Campus Life operations, provide campus tours, take part in Richland’s Student Leadership program and act as student liaisons with the various communities that Richland serves.
