The Office of Campus Life co-sponsors a number of honors and awards for club participants and student leadership at its Annual Student Awards and Recognition Reception. This event provides Richland Community College with the opportunity and privilege of recognizing those students who have provided service and leadership to the college and the community at large each academic year. This occasion also provides Richland with the opportunity to congratulate those students who have made significant achievements in education and to acknowledge other academic awards they have received.

Individual Awards
Nominations for Individual Awards are open to all students who have attended Richland Community College during the current academic year.
Richland Student Leadership Award
The Richland Student Leadership Award is presented to one outstanding Richland Community College student who has proven their skills to exceed expectations in leadership development, service and education within the community. This award is co-sponsored with Campus Life by the Richland Community College Foundation. The recipient of the Student Leadership award receives $100.00 on behalf of the Richland Community College Foundation.

The Richland Student Core Values Award is presented to one Richland Community College student who has demonstrated great achievements that capture the attributes embedded within Richland Community College’s core values of commitment, respect, excellence, accountability and diversity.

Emerging Leadership Award
The Emerging Leadership Award recognizes students who have demonstrated significant progress toward achieving their leadership potential through campus and community involvement.

Peer Mentor and Supporter Award
The Peer Mentor and Supporter Award recognizes those students who have displayed values of encouragement and support to other students’ academic and ethical choices inside and outside the classroom, and promotes campus involvement among peers.

The Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes those students who have made significant contributions demonstrating extraordinary commitment in their co-curricular activities which enhance our community.

Campus Impact Award
The Campus Impact Award is given to students who have been actively engaged in representing Richland Community College's core values of commitment, respect, excellence, accountability and diversity and whose contributions of time, creativity, energy and resources have enriched, sustained and impacted the campus community.

Student Club/Organization Awards
Advisor of the Year Award
Awarded by the Student Senate to recognize the most outstanding and influential advisor participating in the Campus Life program. Nominations are collected from the students participating in Student Clubs/Organizations and are selected by majority vote of the Student Senate. The following criteria are evaluated for this award:
- The organization advisor continually goes above and beyond his or her normal duties in order to assist the student membership
- Demonstrates commitment and dedication to the student club/organization
- Encourages the development of leadership abilities in all members of the club/organization
- Continually serves the best interest of the students

Awarded by the Office of Campus Life to the most involved and influential club during the academic year.
