Ways to Support Richland

Here are some ideas of ways alumni and friends can support Richland Community College.

  • Make an annual gift.
  • Ask if the business or company you work for would be willing to hire one or more summer interns from RCC or provide service learning opportunities for students.
  • Invite all the graduates in your major (e.g. history), as well as the professors to an afternoon get together.
  • Encourage your neighbors’ and friends’ children to consider applying for admission to RCC.
  • Get a small group of friends from college and ask if they might be willing to make an annual gift to your college to support a favorite activity.
  • Ask if the company or business you work for may be willing to donate needed new or used equipment to your college.
  • Volunteer to come to campus and make a presentation before an appropriate class.
  • Ask if the company or business you work for would consider making an annual gift to your college in support of an area of study of direct interest to the company.
  • Volunteer to become a mentor to one or more students in an area of professional expertise.
  • If you live in Richland’s District, volunteer to help coordinate alumni activities.
  • Help with campus tours.
  • Ask if there are students who may need tutoring.
  • Teach an evening course at Richland in your area of expertise.
  • Bring special and important friends to campus for lunch and show them around and arrange for a campus administrator to join you.
  • Organize an alumni club at your workplace if there are several graduates of RCC.
  • Keep the College updated with your address, email, phone number, and personal successes.
  • Wear the blue, gold, and white school colors; wear clothing imprinted with RCC to community events.
  • Name Richland Community College in your will.
  • Participate in alumni surveys and feedback opportunities.
  • Volunteer to serve on a committee for RCC Alumni Development.
  • Attend College functions, alumni programs, and College reunions.
  • Check out the Richland website at least once a month.
